Serge Hochar's estate red has a sweet, earthy succulence in 2000 that's hard to resist, a combination of raspberry liqueur, mocha, black olives and very rich earth. It's all interwoven with chewy, firm tannins and stony minerality. The structure should hold it for another decade.

這支傳說中黎巴嫩的酒王Chateau Musar,由1975-1990年經歷黎巴嫩戰火連綿,Musar掌舵人Serge卻憑著他的毅力,带領著酒莊工人冒著槍林彈雨下,釀製出足以傲視同行的佳釀。在1984年,更被《Decanter Magazine》推選為首位「Man of the Year」,以表揚莊主Serge在炮火戰亂之下,仍能將黎巴嫩古老的釀酒文化發揚光大。而每支酒都經歷過戰火的洗禮,從它們身軀仍然能發現到炮火的灰塵,十分尊敬其奮鬥及堅持執着的態度。其紅酒是用波爾多葡萄品種Cabernet Sauvignon、Cinsault 和Carignan混釀而成的,連同在水泥槽發酵,再放入法國橡木桶陳年後,之後再存放在地下酒窖陳年,所以一支Chateau Musar 由釀造至上市共需七年的時間。
